Quick Thoughts: Just so, so good. They weren’t nominated as one of Melbourne’s best new restaurants in 2013 for nothing, and they’ve continued the good vibes as they’ve grown older. What once was the Aylesbury, has made way for Bomba, and thank the heavens for that.
Now it wasn’t that the Aylesbury was bad, not at all, but flipping to become Bomba with their share plates, cheesey croquetta’s, and just such a huge variety of interesting and tasty dishes, they definitely made the right decision in terms of adjusting to Melbourne’s evolving taste towards creative yet uncomplicated food that doesn’t necessarily break the bank.
If you’re yet to visit, Bomba should be right near the top of your list.
