Quick Thoughts: In some ways, Pillar of Salt is the Ying to Top Paddock’s Yang, smaller, a more independent type feel, a little dilapidated in style, and ultimately, more charismatic; Pillar of Salt stands as my preferred choice of cafe along Church St. Controversial? Maybe.
While Top Paddock seems to scoop up the awards, Pillar of Salt is that creative middle child that just minds its own business while creating a more engaging and meaningful experience. Did I just write that in a food blog? I guess so, but it just seems to have more heart, and I like that.
